Game & App Development

Build viral games, interactive engagements and custom mobile apps.

How a game or app project is scoped

The first question is not what to build but what the thing has to prove. A campaign minigame exists to collect qualified leads and give people a reason to share; a mobile app exists because customers repeat an action often enough to justify installing something. Those two answers produce completely different budgets, and a project that cannot say which one it is will end up doing both badly.

Everything ships with analytics wired in from the first build, because a game with a hundred thousand plays and no idea how many became customers is entertainment you paid for. We instrument the funnel — open, play, complete, submit, buy — before launch, and we agree in advance which number decides whether version two gets built.

What a build includes

Scoped to one measurable objective, instrumented before launch, handed over complete.

Concept tied to a business objective

Mechanics, reward and share loop designed around the lead, the repeat purchase or the retention target — not around a genre we felt like building.

Cross-platform build

Web-based campaign games that run without an install, or native Android and iOS apps when the use case genuinely needs the home screen.

Analytics and funnel instrumentation

Events wired from first open to conversion, so player numbers can be read as customers rather than as a vanity chart.

Store submission and handover

App store listings, review compliance, signing keys and source code delivered into your accounts, with a build guide for the next developer.

Questions before a build starts

Do we need an app or is a website enough?

If customers act once or twice a year, a fast website wins — nobody installs an app to buy annually. An app earns its place when the action repeats weekly, needs offline access, or depends on push notifications. We will say plainly when the website is the better answer.

How much does a campaign minigame cost?

Far less than an app, because it runs in the browser, skips store review and reuses proven mechanics. The variable cost is custom art and how many prize and validation rules the promotion needs. We scope the mechanics first and price after, so the rules do not quietly triple the build.

How long does app store approval take?

Days to a couple of weeks, and rejections are normal on the first submission. We budget for one rejection cycle and prepare the privacy policy, data declarations and demo account reviewers ask for, which is what most delays are actually caused by.

Who owns the signing keys and the code?

You do. Store accounts are registered to your business, signing keys are handed over, and the repository is transferred at launch. Without those, you cannot publish an update without the original developer — which is the most common trap in app work.

What happens after launch?

Apps need maintenance whether or not you add features: operating systems change, libraries expire, store rules move. We quote a maintenance retainer separately so you can choose between keeping us on and handing the build to your own developer.

Can you take over an app another team built?

Often yes, provided the source code and signing keys exist and you hold them. The first step is a short audit of the codebase and store accounts, priced separately, which tells you whether continuing is cheaper than rebuilding. We will say when it is not — a codebase nobody can deploy safely is a rebuild wearing a disguise.
